Mission
We are committed to respecting your privacy. No company, institute or organizational entity is entitled to your data unless you choose to provide this voluntarily. Based on this philosophy, we refuse to collect unnecessary permissions, store encryption/decryption keys without your consent, or collect and track information about you.
Haven offers a strict "zero-knowledge" encryption policy. This means that neither we, nor any other company or third party service, or entity or institution may access or view your data without consent. You agree to provide this consent when you signup for our Service. As we do not store decryption keys on our servers, the only way to decrypt your data is your Master Password. This means our encryption is only as strong as your password, so choose a complex password/passphrase to lock your account. Haven recommends using 2 Factor Authentication when possible to add an extra layer of security to your account.
While we try our hardest to collect and log no data, we recognize that sometimes we are required to store certain information about you to operate the Service. This includes information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as email addresses and usernames. We recommend not using your real name and using pseudo-names and email forwarding services when possible to maximize your anonymization on the Service.
Disclosure
If you choose to use the Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that We collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Files, Media, and Uploads
Media uploaded to our servers are end-to-end encrypted with AES-256, a protocol used by governments, defense agencies and financial institutes to secure your data. Haven cannot see, decrypt, or access your files as we do not store decryption keys.
Account Information
We are required to store certain information about you to operate and provide the Service. This includes information that you provide to us when you signup for an account, including your username and email address, or subscription plan information. If you choose to enable 2-Factor Authentication, your phone number or identifiers related to dual authentication could be stored to operate the required feature. This information is the minimum required for us to collect to operate and provide the Service.
Usage Information
We try our hardest to not store or track usage information regarding how you use the application. However in order to operate the Service, we are required to store the following information:
-
Your Plan's Available Remaining Data (to maintain data quotas and upgrades)
-
The Size of Files Uploaded (to maintain data quotas and upgrades)

Tags Associated With Your Uploaded Media (if you choose to enable the tags feature)

Certain websites collect device information such as IP addresses, websites you visit, browser versions, device type and history. We do not store or track the aforementioned device information, and refuse to do so.
Third Party Privacy Policy
Haven uses third party publishers, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, to distribute the Service. These third parties will access your information on your behalf to use the Service. We cannot control how data is collected, processed or managed by these third policies, so understand your data privacy before using these platforms.
In order to provide the Service, we integrate certain trusted technologies that have their own privacy policies. These Services include:

Law Compliance and Legal
At certain times, we may be required to disclose information, if we determine that it is necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or appropriate government request. We vow to fight blanket requests, provide mass communication and transparency into legal proceedings when possible, and protect the interests of (a) Users (b) Haven's rights, property, safety or interests.
We cannot provide data that we do not have access to, such as encrypted media uploaded to our servers. We may choose to disclose information when absolutely required, such as usernames, email addresses, or usage information aforementioned. For your privacy and security, it is recommended to use psuedo-usernames, email forwarding services, and removing metadata associated with content before uploading to our servers.
